Fall Prevention/ Protection Training

Details of workshop on Fall Protection

The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has awarded Texas State University to provide 2.5 hours of Fall Prevention/Protection to seven hundred (700) workers and employers in the general, and construction industries. Training includes a brief overview of whistleblower laws, OSHA’s Complaint Policies and Procedures, an intro to Fall protection/prevention, prevention measures, a demo of body harnesses, and others. The targeted audience includes youth, hard-to-reach, limited English proficiency workers, non-literate/low literacy workers, small businesses, and temporary workers. English and Spanish training are available in two options: in-person and online (synchronous).

Training location: Texas State University Campus (San Marcos and Round Rock), work sites, business locations, and at requested locations.

Performance period: This grant is closed

Time/Days: Mostly in the morning and afternoon but can be any time and day of the week (including weekends) as requested (based on the availability of the trainer).
