Fall Prevention/ Protection Training

The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has awarded Texas State University to provide 2 hours of Fall Prevention/Protection to six hundred forty (640) workers and employers in the general and construction industries. Training includes a brief overview of whistleblower laws, OSHA’s Complaint Policies and Procedures, an intro to Fall protection/prevention, prevention measures, a demo of body harnesses, and others. The targeted audience includes youth, hard-to-reach, limited English proficiency workers, non-literate/low literacy workers, small businesses, and temporary workers. Trainings are available in English, Spanish, Nepali, and Vietnamese. Trainings are available in two options: in-person and online (synchronous).

Training location (In-Person): job sites, company offices, training facilities, Texas State University at San Marcos and Round Rock), and at requested locations.

Online training: Via Zoom training session.

Training availability: September 30, 2024 to September 30, 2025

Training Time/Days: It is two hours training. Mostly in the morning and afternoon but can be any time and day of the week as requested (based on the availability of the trainer).
