The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), has awarded Texas State University to provide 3 hours of infectious disease, including COVID-19 training to seven hundred (700) workers and employers, in the hospitality, general, and construction industries. The topic includes infectious diseases such as TB, RSV, and COVID-19. Training also includes a brief overview of whistleblower laws, and OSHA’s Complaint Policies and Procedures. Our targeted audience includes youth, hard-to-reach, limited English proficiency workers, non-literate/low literacy workers, small businesses, and temporary workers. English and Spanish training are available in two options: in-person and online (synchronous). The trainees will receive training supplies and a training completion certificate.
Training location: Texas State University Campus (San Marcos and Round Rock), work sites, business locations, and at requested locations.

Time/Days: Mostly in the morning and evening but can be any time and day of the week as requested (based on the availability of the trainer).
